Memorial Day weekend was an exciting time for Tifosi Optics sponsored pro cycling teams, Toyota-United, Jittery Joe’s and AEG-Toshiba-JetNetwork.

Four of the top five slots at the Leith BMW Downtown Raleigh Criterium on May 26, 2006 went to Tifosi Optics sponsored riders. Frank Travieso of AEG took second while Ivan Stevic of Toyota-United finished third and Emile Abraham of AEG took fourth place. Jeff Hopkins of Jittery Joe’s rounded out the top five.

Toyota-Untied riders Chris Wherry and Sean Sullivan kicked the weekend off by taking first and second place at the Burlington Road Race in Burlington, Iowa on May 26, 2006.

The following day, the pair took first and second once again at the Snake Alley Criterium in Burlington, with Sullivan coming in first and Wherry finishing second.

J.J. Haedo of Toyota-United finished out the weekend in style by taking first in the Tour of Somerville on May 29, 2006.
