Tifosi Welcomes Patrick Piller

Tifosi Optics is pleased to announce that Patrick Piller of Pacific Grove, Calif. has been hired as Sales Coordinator for Tifosi Optics.

Piller, 36, has worked in the cycling industry for 10 years. Prior to his employment at Tifosi Optics, Piller served as the product manager for Light and Motion Bicycle Systems in Monterey, Calif. Piller has also served as brand manager for Easton Bicycle Components and Vredestein Bicycle Tyres at Veltec Sports, Inc.

“Joe Earley and the rest of the team at Tifosi Optics have built a strong company based on innovative products and great customer service,” Piller said. “I am looking forward to joining Tifosi Optics and contributing to the growth of the company and the Tifosi Optics brand.”

Tifosi Optics Extends the National Hole-in-One Giveaway

Due to the success of the National Hole-in-One Giveaway, Tifosi Optics is pleased to announce the giveaway will be playing another round.

Originally scheduled to conclude on Nov. 30, 2005, Tifosi Optics has extended the National Hole-in-One Giveaway until Jan. 31, 2006. From now until Jan 31, any golfer in America who hits an ace is entitled to a free pair of Tifosi Optics golf sunglasses.

“I’m floored by the response we’ve gotten from golf courses and winners,” said Tifosi CEO and founder Joe Earley. “Tifosi has been able to join in the hole-in-one celebrations of nearly 200 golfers since August 1, 2005.”

To redeem their free pair of eyewear, acers can download the hole-in-one redemption form at www.tifosioptics.com and fax it along with a copy of their scorecard, signed by the pro at the course where the ace was hit, to the Tifosi Optics headquarters. The pro signing the card will also get a free pair of shades.

Tifosi Optics Ranks Top Five in Reader Surveys

Tifosi Optics has ranked number five in the eyewear category of both the Velonews 2005 Reader Survey and the Inside Triathlon 2005 Reader Survey.

Both reader surveys asked subscribers to respond to the question, “What brand(s) of eyewear do you currently own?” Tifosi Optics ranked number five out of 12 eyewear brands in the Velonews survey with 4.3 percent of respondents owning Tifosi Optics eyewear and 2.3 percent intending to purchase Tifosi Optics eyewear.

Tifosi Optics also ranked number five out of 14 eyewear brands for the Inside Triathlon survey, with 5 percent of readers owning Tifosi Optics Eyewear and 2 percent intending to purchase Tifosi eyewear in the next 12 months.

The Velonews survey was conducted by Signet Research of Cliffside Park, New N.J., and the Inside Triathlon survey was conducted on Zoomerang.com.
