Tifosi Optics Announces the 2006 Women’s Specific Product Line

Thursday, April 6th, 2006

Move over Molly, Tifosi Optics is Pretty in Pink for 2006.

The Tifosi team is pleased to offer the first Tifosi Optics women’s specific product line featuring smaller frames and vibrant colors.

The women’s specific line has all the technology features of other Tifosi Optics products, such as polycarbonate lenses, durable TR-90 frames and adjustable ear and nose pieces, but these models are specially designed to meet the needs of female athletes.

And from the looks of it, pink is the new black. The feature pieces of the 2006 women’s line are the Gavia in Metallic Pink and the Quam 1.5 in Pink, both of which outsold the Gavia and Quam 1.5 models in black during January and February.

“I’m pleased with the response we’ve gotten so far from the women’s line,” said Tifosi Optics owner and CEO Joe Earley. “The tremendous success of our pink models is a testament to the fact that the line was a long overdue addition to the Tifosi Optics product family.”

Tifosi Optics women’s specific models also come in gender-neutral colors for athletes seeking a more classic style.

Since 2003, Tifosi Optics has been developing and distributing technologically-advanced, value-oriented eyewear to enthusiasts of all sports. Tifosi Optics glasses come in both single lens and interchangeable models and have a suggested retail of $29.95 to $59.95. Tifosi Optics Introduces Fototec Lenses with V.T.T.

Thursday, December 15th, 2005

Change is good–especially when it’s the color of your sunglass lenses.

Headlining the new 2006 Tifosi Optics product line, Fototec™ lenses with Variable Tint Technology change color when exposed to U.V. rays.

Tifosi Fototec lenses with V.T.T. come in three lens tint options that turn from light tints to dark tints in approximately eight seconds.

High Speed Red is designed for paved surfaces and changes from a red-based tint with 35 percent light transmission to a deep red tint with 12 percent light transmission.

Developed specifically for trail riding, Backcountry Orange changes from an orange tint with 45 percent light transmission to a brown tint with 15 percent light transmission.

For cloudy and low-light conditions, Light Night changes from a clear lens with 85 percent light transmission to a smoke lens with 19.5 percent light transmission.

Tifosi Fototec lenses provide 100 percent UVA/UVB protection and retail at $59.95.

Tifosi Optics Incorporates EVS Technology

Thursday, July 21st, 2005

In keeping with its reputation for technologically advanced eyewear, Tifosi Optics has incorporated Enhanced Visual System technology into five of the 2006 interchangeable lens styles.

Enhanced Visual System, or EVS, lenses combine progressive lens technology, which varies the lens thickness, with a decentering process that moves the optical center of the lens to better align with the wearer’s eye.

The front surface of the lens has a curve that follows the natural curvature of the eye in order to correct vertical displacement and eliminate peripheral distortion. The result of the processes is a 20 percent wider field of distortion-free vision.

The distortion-free vision provided by EVS technology enhances the wearer’s ability to see surface irregularities such as potholes and uneven pavement. A 20 percent field of vision increase allows the wearer to see more items in his or her periphery, such as off-road obstacles, other riders and automobiles.

All Tifosi Optics EVS lenses have a reflective coating called Glare Guard to reduce glare and decrease eye fatigue.

Tifosi Optics Introduces the 2005 Prescription Lens Program

Tuesday, May 17th, 2005

Tifosi Optics™ has teamed up with Sola Technologies to offer the 2005 Tifosi Optics Prescription Program featuring Direct Fit prescription lenses.

Tifosi Optics is the only company to offer a prescription sunglass program that is available directly through sports specialty retailers.

By filling in a simple prescription form at any Tifosi Optics retailer, consumers can have distortion-free prescription sunglasses delivered to their local retailer in about 14 days.

Direct Fit lenses incorporate the wearer’s prescription into the entire lens, resulting in distortion-free vision without the use of adaptors.

Unlike similar prescription options, Direct Fit lenses do not have visible lines in the lens, allowing the wearer to have an unobstructed line of sight.

Direct Fit lenses can accommodate most standard single-vision prescriptions.

Currently, the Direct Fit lens option is available for the 2005 Tifosi Optics Quam 1.5, Quam 2.5, and Czar models.

All Tifosi Optics eyewear features impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses standard.

In keeping with Tifosi Optics’ commitment to offering technologically-advanced, value-oriented eyewear to enthusiasts of all sports, Direct Fit prescription lenses retail from $85 to $250 per lens pair.

For the third consecutive year, Tifosi Optics Inc. is sponsoring the Jittery Joe’s-Kalahari Pro Cycling Team.

Team riders Evan Elken, Christian Foster, Jeff Hopkins and Jesse Lawler are wearing Direct Fit prescription lenses for the 2005 racing season.

Tifosi Optics also offers a prescription adaptor that can incorporate the wearer’s prescription into selected Tifosi Optics frames without the use of screws or other mounting hardware.
