Tifosi Optics Inks Deal With LPGA Star Brittany Lincicome

Tuesday, September 4th, 2007

WATKINSVILLE, Ga. (Sept. 4, 2007)-Tifosi Optics is pleased to announce a new partnership with LPGA professional Brittany Lincicome.

The multi-year agreement names Tifosi as exclusive eyewear sponsor for Lincicome effective immediately.

Lincicome is part of Tifosi’s companywide objective to support women’s athletics with performance eyewear specifically designed for female faces. Tifosi Optics offers several models with narrower frames and women’s specific features such as adjustable nose pads to reduce eyelash rub.

Listed ninth on the offical LPGA money list, Lincicome will lend her name to two custom Tifosi Optics golf-specific sunglasses available in the spring of 2008.

Lincicome’s signature pieces will combine women’s specific designs with fresh colors and Tifosi’s golf lens technology.

“Brittany is a great fit for Tifosi,” said Tifosi Optics founder, Joe Earley. “She’s the girl next door, who also happens to be one of the best female golfers in the world. We’re looking forward to growing with Brittany and having her on board will definitely strengthen our efforts to become a major player in golf-specific eyewear.”

In her third season as a professional, Lincicome, 21, is recognized as one of the longest hitters on tour. She currently has two wins on the LPGA Tour and was recently named to the Solheim Cup team-the women’s version of the Ryder Cup- where she will represent the United States against the best players from Europe.

During a breakout season in 2006, Lincicome won the HSBC Women’s World Match Play Championship after dominating six consecutive matches and claimed one of the biggest purses on tour. In spring 2007, Lincicome also won the Ginn Open.

Tifosi Optics Receives the PGA Tour Partners Club Member-Tested Seal of Approval

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007

WATKINSVILLE, Ga. (August 29, 2007) - The Tifosi Optics EC Fototec lens has earned top marks from the PGA Tour Partners Club Member-Tested Program.

The prestigious PGA Tour Partners Club Member-Tested Seal of Approval is given to products that receive at least a 66 percent approval rating from PGA Tour Partners Club members who agree to evaluate products and give feedback to the magazine.

Tifosi Optics EC Fototec lens with Variable Tint Technology earned an 88 percent approval rating after all member evaluations were tabulated.

The EC Fototec lens is a photochromic lens offering 100 percent UVA/UVB protection that changes tint when exposed to UV rays. This golf-specific tint starts out nearly clear, perfect for early morning tee times, and changes to a deep purple-smoke tint that provides a high amount of contrast ideal for reading greens.

The contrast-enhancing properties of the lens are also beneficial for spotting the subtle breaks of a putting green. Additionally, the EC lens darkens based on outdoor lighting conditions, so the wearer is shielded regardless of the day’s changing light levels.

PGA Tour Partners members who tested the EC Fototec lens had the opportunity to leave additional product feedback.

Product Tester Marvin Yohe said, “I have been through a lot of sunglasses to help in reading the greens. The Tifosi are the best I have found. They bring out the little subtle breaks close to the cup that I have trouble seeing.”

Nicholas Adams of Massachusetts said, “These are the first sunglasses that I have been able to wear throughout an entire round of golf. I have also been able to wear these independent of the time of day or weather condition.”

PGA Tour Partners testers were also asked to provide feedback about their playing partners’ impressions of the glasses.

Doug Quinn said his partners were skeptical that his new glasses could actually improve his game-that is until he started sinking more putts than previous rounds.

Quinn noted, “Wearing Tifosi glasses has easily taken five to six putts off my round, and that’s what it’s all about.”

The Tifosi Optics Stelvio with EC Fototec lenses is featured in the September/October issue of PGA Tour Partners Club Magazine, currently being mailed to their more than 525,000 paid subscribers. The EC Fototec lens is available in several frame options.
